He is survived by: his wife Patricia of Howard; his children, Cheryl Smith (Jeff) of Howard and Connie Harter (Dean) of Pennsylvania; his brother Everett Chandley (Jackie) of California; and his grandson James. He is also survived by six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Corolla Wild Horse Fund 1130 East Corolla Village Road Corolla, North Carolina 27927; or any local animal shelter.
