He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Meyer and Helen Meyer (Stiffel); his spouse Onda Pitsenbarger; his daughter Donna Saunders; and his sisters, Miriam Gross, Martha Gephart and Judith Havanar.
He is survived by: his children, Dwain Meyer of Tipp City, Dwight Meyer (Candace) of Sidney, David Meyer (Linda) of Pleasant Hill and Deena Meyer of Fort Loramie; and his sister Virginia Carey of Columbus. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren.
