It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Roy E. Carpenter Jr. of Hopewell, Ohio, born in Zanesville, Ohio, who passed away on December 1, 2022, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Harold Sr. and Ella Jean Carpenter (Iden); and his brother Gregory Steven Carpenter. He is survived by: his wife Rita M. Carpenter (Grimes); his children, Roy E. Carpenter (Erin), Lonnie R. Carpenter and Trina L. Lippert (Shane); his grandchildren, Shawn M. Carpenter, Alissa N. Carpenter and Sadie Rae Lippert; his siblings, Walter Harold Carpenter Jr. (Pam), Debra Nielson (John), Cheryl Mapes (Craig Lenhart) and Lisa Carpenter; his uncle Darrell Iden; and his caregiver Jeremy. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
