He was predeceased by: his parents, Clara Elizabeth Thomas (Stump) and Virgil Leland Thomas (Minerva) of Homeworth; his sister Kathleen; and his brother-in-law Chuck Chapman. He is survived by: his wife Marcia Ann Miller; his daughters, Leigh Ann Douglas (Brian) of Zionsville, IN, Karen Thomas (Mark Hensley) of Florence, MA and Linda Wood (Steve) of Kent; his grandchildren, Breanna, Lila Hensley of Florence, MA, Harper, Clara Wood of Kent, OH, Allison Thommen of Clermont, FL, Laura Douglas of Oakland, CA and Craig Douglas of Pflugerville, TX; his niece Jill Chapman Battershell (Phil); and his siblings-in-law, Ellen and Bill Sol of Alliance. He is also survived by three great-granddaughters.
