He was predeceased by: his parents, Simon S. Hershberger and Anna Hershberger (Yoder); his son Rick Day (Rick) of Holmesville; his son-in-law Rick Day; and his siblings, Levi, Henry Hershberger, Rebecca Laughter and Katie Marlow.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth; his children, Jay (Amy Hershberger) and Tamara Hershberger of Dover; his grandchildren, Kendall (Rebecca Hershberger), Jeffrey, Chad, Tyler Hershberger, Craig (Brittany Day), Stephanie (Cory Baker) and Max Hershberger; and his brother Eddie (Mary Hershberger) of Campobello, SC..
