We are sad to announce that on March 16, 2025, at the age of 61, Matthew Thornton of Holland, Ohio passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Thornton and Martha Thornton (Speck); his brother Jeff; and his father-in-law Carl. He is survived by: his sister Jenny Jones (John); his nieces and nephews, Zach and Jason Jones; his cousins, Mike Early, Tammy Weiland, Cheryl Riffner and Bob Speck; and his close friend Greg Stobart (Jennie).
Visitation was held on Saturday, March 22nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Witzler-Shank-Walker Funeral Home (222 E South Boundary St, Perrysburg, OH 43551). A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 22nd 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Saturday, March 22nd 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Fort Meigs Union Cemetery (620 W Indiana Ave, Perrysburg, OH 43551).
