She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Bernius and Ruth Bernius (Rehl); her husband Melvin "Bud" Engel; her stepmother Agnes Bernius; her sisters, Audrey McCabe, Pat Foor and Betty Gause; her half-siblings, Bud Bernius and Kathryn Bunn; and her sister-in-law Leola E. Zachrich.
She is survived by: her children, Chris Engel (Marcia) of Defiance and Becky Sheets (Tom) of Holgate, OH.; her great grandchildren, Stacie Platt (Paul), Benji Sheets (Hilary), Bethani Sheets and Heather Long (Chris); and her great great grandchild Granger Lawson.
