She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Eldor Norden and Rufina Norden (Helberg); her husband Robert "Bob" Rettig; her children, Todd Rettig (Paula), Napoleon and Kelly Jo Syllaba (Gary); and her siblings, Ronnie Norden, Diane Wendt, Ridgeville, Sue McCulley, Napoleon, Joann Miller and Weldon Norden. She was also cherished by 5 grandchildren; 2 step grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren.
