He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence L. Hurd and Lynn Hurd (Saffron); his wife Ann "Nancy" Hurd; his brother James Hurd; his grandsons, Jarrod and Michael; his great grandchild Sophia; and his daughter-in-law Lori Hurd (Smith).
He is survived by: his children, Lawrence "Lanky" Hurd (Terri) of Shalersville, Kevin M. Hurd of Garrettsville, Phillip J. Hurd, Sr. (Michelle) of Garrettsville, Terri Billiter of Ravenna and Laura Hudec (Dale) of Atwater.
Visitation will be Saturday November 14, 2020 from 12:00 Noon-1:00 P. M. at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service, 4668 Pioneer Trail at the corner of St. Rt. 44, Mantua, Ohio 44255, where his funeral service will begin at 1:00 P. M. Social distancing and face masks will be observed for the both.
