He was predeceased by: his parents, Merl Guthrie and Evelyn Guthrie; and his wife Carol "Jackie" Guthrie. He is survived by: his children, Kelly Losh (Tom) of Akron Ohio, J. Scott Guthrie (Michelle) of Medina and Robert Guthrie (Tricia) of Medina, Ohio.; his grandchildren, Shannon Roden, Brad Cutlip, Victoria Olson (Kiefer), Nick Guthrie (Adam), Kaylee and Kade; and his great grandchildren, Adalyn, Arabella, Lillian and Lennox Olson.
