He is survived by: his children, Rodney Nichols (Rebecca) of Hillsboro, Richard Nichols (Tammy) of Hillsboro and Rhonda Buckner (Brad) of Milford; the mother of his children Victoria Ward; his brother William Cheek (Barbara) of Hillsboro; and his close friend Bill Hamilton of Hillsboro. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; his former wife.
