He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas E. Tackett and Edna Mae Tackett (Morris); and his siblings, Bertha Perkins, Gladys Tackett, Mary Knisley and Thomas Tackett.
He is survived by: his wife Norma Jean Lowman; his daughters, Tabitha Brown (Joseph) and Teresa Barnett (Ronald); his grandchildren, Madeline Hatfield (Kyle), Kaitlynn Barnett and Alexis Brown; his great grandchild Ada Mae Hatfield; his siblings, Doris Ann Crabtree, Kay Kuhn, Russell Tackett (Diane) and David Tackett (Carol); and his brother-in-law Sturgil Lowman. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and friends.
