He was predeceased by: his parents, Orville Sr. Vance and Mary Catherine Vance; his former wife Mary Joanne Vance (Collins); his son John Richard Vance; his sister Elizabeth; and his brother-in-law Charlie Caldwell.
He is survived by: his wife Dottie Vance (Countryman); his son Ralph; his daughter-in-law Shirley Vance of Hillsboro; his daughters, Cindy (Randy Frost), Elaine (Jeff Gilliland) and Karen (Mark Noecker); his stepchildren, Donna Stapleton (Chuck), Tim Countryman (Lisa) and Mike Countryman (Nancy); and his grandchildren, Brian Vance (Lori), Steve Vance (Amy), Shane Schraw (Laura), Jeremy Vance (Brandy), Mechell Karnes (Doug), Adam Vance, Tye Gilliland (Sabrina), Josh Czerpak (Paige), Chase Gilliland and Kyle Czerpak. He is also survived by eight step grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; twenty step great grandchildren; four nieces; and special friends, sister-in-law.
