He was predeceased by: his parents, Ike Golden and Mary Golden (Bennett); his stepdaughters, Cheri Lee Jones and Jeanne Marie Brooks; and his sisters, Joanne Babb and Betty Sue Saylor.
He is survived by: his wife Claudette Golden (Kaysen); his stepsons, Robert Roak of Dahlonega, GA and Gerald Roak of Westchester, OH; his siblings, Arnold, Johnny Golden, Mary Mink, June Cole and Barbara Ellen Viox; and his grandson Claude Brooks (Diana). He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
