He was predeceased by: his mother Alice Sams; his wife Cheryl Lynn Sams; his daughter Jackie "Sis" Post; and his mother-in-law Norma Wilkin. He is survived by: his children, Robert Sams (Sheila) of Hillsboro, Michael Sams (Debi) of Cincinnati and Brandy Laws (Frank) of Hillsboro. He is also survived by five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, sister.
