He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Sturgeon and Florence Sturgeon (Wilson); and his brother Fred Sturgeon, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Sandra L. "Sandy" Sturgeon (Rowe); and his children, Kenneth Sturgeon (Kim) of Rainsboro, Sharon Holbrook (Darrell) of Rainsboro, Robert Sturgeon (Olivia) of Arizona and Tammy Pruett (Keith) of Hillsboro. He is also survived by Eleven grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
