He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Hester and Nora Hester (Spurgeon); and his siblings, Martha Barnhart (Jake), Mary Kingery (Kenneth), Fern Tapp (Kenneth), Elizabeth Hayden (William), Viola Cassidy (Hobert), Violet Koch, Dorothy Watson (Richard), Lawrence Hester (Linda) and Dwight Hester.
He is survived by: his wife Emily B. Hester (Meredith); his children, Quintin Hester of Hillsboro, Adam Hester of Leesburg, Ashley Hester (Arlyn) of Leesburg, Kyle Hester (Cindy) of Grove City, Amy Hester of Leesburg and D'Anna Jenkins (Steve) of Washington, C. H.; his stepchildren, Stephen McKinley (Angela) of Tennessee, Shane McKinley of Leesburg and Tonya Sommer of Cincinnati; his siblings, Warren Hester of Leesburg, Janet Jorvanovic of Greenfield and Ruth Cheatwood of Chillicothe; and his nephew Randy Meredith. He is also survived by twenty-four grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren.
