He is survived by: his children, Donald Carter of Hillsboro, David Carter (Pam) of Hillsboro, Jerry Carter of Hillsboro, Judy Page (Lowell) of Hillsboro, Carolyn Smith (Anthony) of Lynchburg and Nancy Brockman (Matt) of Martinsville; and his sister Judy Green (John) of Hillsboro. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, one great grandchild.
