He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Herbert Burns and Myrtle Marie Burns (Storer); his wife Beverly Burns; his son-in-law Foster Walters; and his siblings, Virginia Tuck, Shirley Main (Ron), Mildred Maher, Dave Burns (Phyllis), James Burns, Charles Benton Burns and Ruth Burns.
He is survived by: his children, Richard Burns (Kelly) of Hillsboro, Tony Burns (Janie) of Leesburg, Daryl Burns (Tiffany) of Lynchburg and Jenny Walters of Hillsboro; his grandchildren, Kayla Conrad (Doug), Jordan Burns (Anna), Heather Conover (Thad), Courtney Ater (Chris), Caleb Huff, Hunter Burns, Isaac Burns, Liberty Burns, Josiah Burns, Isiah Walters, Haley Walters, Matthew Walters and Miranda Curlonis; his siblings, Russell Burns (Loretta), Gary Burns, Kenny Burns, Linda Burney (Steve) and Roger Burns (Kim); and his brother-in-law Whitey Maher. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
