It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles Karnes (Hillsboro, Ohio), who passed away on March 31, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Karnes and Nellie Karnes (Taylor); and his siblings, John, Howard Karnes, Dorothy Clifton, Patricia Detty and Ruth Karnes.
He is survived by: his wife Kay Karnes; his children, Mitchel J. Karnes (Roberta), Steven D. Karnes (Zelda) and Pamela A. Burns (William); his mother-in-law Jane Karnes; and his grandchildren, Rebecca Taylor (Joseph), Sara Mathews (Andrew), Kalie Grigsby (Bradley), Garrett Karnes (Ciera), Derek Karnes (Rachel), Samantha Williams (Nicholas) and Christina Burns.
Viewing was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Fall Creek Friends Church (11345 Karnes Rd, Hillsboro, OH 45133). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:15 PM at the Stringtown Cemetery.
