He is survived by: his children, Jerry Day (Marty), Benita Hesler (Mark), Richard Carter (Carol) and Carl Carter (Tiffany); his grandchildren, Jennifer Wise (Tim), Jessica Swackhammer, Christa Henslee, Alan Owens, Richard Carter, Jr., Carl Carter, Jr., Rayanna Carter, Reagan Carter and Payton Rollins; his great grandchildren, Tyler Madison (Hailey), Kyle Madison (Kenzie Pointer), Mathew Walker and Christian Walker; and his sister Barbara Rideout of West Union.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Lafferty Funeral Home (205 S Cherry St, West Union, OH 45693). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
He was a supporter of the St. Jude Foundation.
