He was predeceased by: his parents, Godfrey Rings and Ruth Rings; and his siblings, Mary Catherine Reber, Ruthella Finch, JoAnn Schatz and Godfrey Rings, Jr..
He is survived by: his children, David Rings (Bonnie) and Debra Rings Walters; his stepchildren, Ann Forrer, Marc Joost, Jane Joost and Eric Joost (Sandy); and his siblings, Patty Clark, Mae Etta Thiergartner and Henry Rings (Carmen). He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John Memorial Fund in Louis' name.
