She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Root and Ann Root; her husband Norm "Mac" McElheny; her son James; her siblings, Ralph and Audrey; and her brothers-in-law, Norm Mosier and John Stiffler.

She is survived by: her sons, John McElheny (Julie) and Robert Stephen (Nancy); her grandchildren, Christopher, Matthew (Bethany), Tiffani, Cara Reese, Suzanne McElheny (Gregory Stevenson) and Nickolas (Sara); her great grandchildren, Ian, Caleb, Alison, Alban, Juliet, Jack, Zane, Trey, Lincoln, Lilliana and Audrey; her sister Virginia Stiffler; and her sister-in-law Kathy Root (Audrey).
