James H. Rice Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James H. Rice of Hilliard, Ohio, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 13, 2025 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Heston Rice and Christina Rice (Diamond); his siblings, Ben Rice, Louie Rice and Ruth Pelphrey; and his grandson Andrew Rice.
He is survived by: his wife Lois Rice; his children, James Michael Rice (Bonnie), Cynthia Lynn Pauley (Richard) and Jerry T. Rice (Jodi); his grandchildren, Beau Rice, Luke Rice (Tiffany), J. T. Rice (Stephani), Clay Rice (Emily) and Chad Rice (Marissa Eau Claire); his children, Jay Pauley Lu Pauley (Linda), Sara Thompson (Jeff) and Nick Rice (Andrea); his granddaughter-in-law Nicole Rice; his great grandchildren, Savannah Rice, Georgia Rice, Austin Rice, Ashlynn Rice, Jackson Rice, Olivia Rice, Landon Rice, Preston Rice, Hadley, Amelia Thompson, Graham, Addison and Beckham Lu Pauley; and his friend Bill Bechtold.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Tidd Family Funeral Home (5265 Norwich St, Hilliard, OH 43026). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Hilliard Church of Christ (4300 Avery Rd, Hilliard, OH 43026).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to payable to Norwich Township ATTN: Fire Department, 5181 Northwest Parkway, Hilliard, Ohio, 43026.
