She was predeceased by: her husband Richard; her parents, Charles Ward and Helen Ward; her brothers, George and Charles; and her grandsons, James Emmelhainz and Spencer Matteson.

She is survived by: her children, Richard Emmelhainz (Valerie), Theresa Emmelhainz (Nan Counihan), Randall Emmelhainz (Jill), Mary Ratliff (Bruce) and Rebecca Matteson (Alan); her son-in-law Brian Hughes; her grandchildren, Dan Emmelhainz (Keira), Chelsey Emmelhainz (Matt Lyons), Erica Schainz (Paul), Celia Emmelhainz, Roger Emmelhainz (Maureen Bailey), Rob Emmelhainz (Elise), Nettie Emmelhainz (Mark Sarti), Jakob Emmelhainz (Arianna), Anna Emmelhainz, Nick Hughes, Samantha Ratliff, Nathan Matteson and Tom Matteson; and her great grandchildren, Lincoln, Zach, Clarke, Lark, Cosie, Wilder, Bernadette and Eloise. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
