Avonell was predeceased by: parents, Allen Upperman and Jessie Upperman; husbands, Rev. Alfred Chapman and Kenneth W. Smith; daughter Rebecca Sue Chapman; and brothers, Roy and Archie Upperman.
Avonell is survived by: stepsons, Roger D. Smith (Wanda) and James W. Smith; niece Phyllis A. Upperman; and nephews, Greg Chapman (Diane) and Mitch Chapman.
