He was predeceased by: his daughter Holly Trout; his stepdaughter Kimberly Ritter; and his siblings, Victor, David Hite, Betty Brown, Lucille Slentz, Verna Miller and Joanne Troyer.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Lou Hite; his son Brent Hite; his stepchildren, Donald Lamp, Kristin Fetters (Randall), Matthew Lamp and Terry Danner (Jessica); and his brother-in-law Dean Troyer. He is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
