He was predeceased by: his parent Willie Smalls Sr.; and his brother Willie Smalls Jr.. He is survived by: his daughters, Valencia Smalls-Wright (Nicholas) and Juanna Smalls (Marvin Lacy); his grandson Dominic Wright; and his great grandchildren, Carmella Wright, Angelo Wright and Nico Wright. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
