She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Roberts and Rosa Roberts (Boyer); her husband John H. Gauer, Jr.; and her siblings, Jim, Joe, Owen, Charles, Wilma, Peg, Esther and Elizabeth.
She is survived by: her former husband Robert Thiel; her children, Deb Metz (Tom) of The Villages, Jim Thiel (Deb) of Hicksville, Rick Thiel (Jean) of Sherwood and Steve Thiel of Hicksville; her stepdaughters, Johanna Edge (Bill) of Coldwell and Melanie Will of Hudson, Ohio; and her grandchildren, Tammy Higgins (Mace), Tom Metz (Wendy), Tricia Metz, Eric Thiel (Julie), Lindsey Thiel, Andrew Thiel (Katie), Cat Dobecki (Dan), Kate Lindsey (Justin), James Will and Rachel Will. She is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
