He was predeceased by: his parents, Mervin Applegate and Irene Applegate (Volkert). He is survived by: his wife Sharon Applegate of Hicksville; his children, David Applegate (Sheri) of Hicksville and Carolyn Whitaker (Jim) of Hicksville; his grandchildren, Ryan Whitaker (Beth) of Fort Wayne, Ross Whitaker of Denver, Eric Applegate of Hicksville and Matt Applegate of Hicksville; his great grandchildren, Carson, Liam and Violet Whitaker; and his sister Phyllis Amaden of Hicksville.
