He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Leon Jones and Helen Hursey (Rogoza); his siblings, Paul and Susie; his children, Debbie and Mike; and his grandson Abraham Gerhardt Lengacher.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret Slaughter Gerhardt; his children, Jodie Flanary (Dave), Stacy McGrew (Dick), Kris Carson, Lisa Jones and Kenny Charles (Theresa); and his brother Bill Bricker. He is also survived by nineteen grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren.
