In the sacred silence of farewell, Geraldine is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Geraldine's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Franklin and Opal L. West (Wells); her husband Kenneth W. Smitley; her brother Edward West; her grandchildren, Kirt Myers and Julia Armstrong; and her great grandchild Ryan Armstrong.
She is survived by: her daughters, Joan Stantz of Hicksville and Carol Armstrong of Defiance. She is also survived by four grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and 20 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home (706 N Main St, Hicksville, OH 43526).
