It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Franklin Vermilion of Hebron, Ohio, born in Newark, Ohio, who passed away on August 31, 2021, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Newton Dillin and Julia Vermilion (Varner); and his sisters, Betty Joyce Vermilion and Joan Church. He is survived by: his children, Jason Allen Vermilion (Melissa) of Thornville and Jo Ann Lamp (David) of Newark; his siblings, Newton Leland Vermilion (Shirley "Rikki"), Dolores Brownfield of Heath and June Sharrod of Jackson; his grandchildren, Alysha Maharg (Jason), Davey Lamp, Branden Shaw (Sierra), Kat Sims (Jacob), Stephanie Finney and Samantha Ryan (Chris); and his close friends, Joe Swick and Doug Hinson (Barb). He is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Ohio or the Wounded Warrior Project.
