He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde A. Bowers and Bertha Mildred Bowers (Woodward); his former wife Linda A. Bowers (Scheffler); and his siblings, Clyde, Lyle Bowers, Arlene Bowers and Lois George.
He is survived by: his wife Virginia L. Bowers (Wishon); his brother Lowell W. Bowers (Nancy) of Newark; and his sister-in-law Marilyn S. "Susie" Bowers of Newark. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
