In the sacred silence of farewell, Walter is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter C. Gemmell and Ola L. Gemmell (Ford); and his daughter Joanne Purtell. He is survived by: his wife Marjorie "Marjie" Gemmell; his sons, Richard (Louise), Gordon (Marcia), Chuck and Kenneth (Michelle); his son-in-law Joe Purtell; his sister Letha S. Jones (Jess) of Wilmore, Kentucky; and the mother of his children Dorothy Gemmell. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 3rd 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Heath Chapel of Henderson-Van Atta-Stickle Funeral & Cremation Service (1249 Hebron Rd, Heath, OH 43056). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 3rd 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
