It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Roy Lee Atkinson (Heath, Ohio), born in Mount Vernon, Illinois, who passed away on April 27, 2020, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Atkinson and Beulah Atkinson (Lawrence); and his sister Betty Lipps (Robert). He is survived by: his wife Vallee; his daughters, Jill Atkinson and Ginger Zipf (Richard); his grandchildren, Benjamin Zipf (Ashley), Adam Zipf (Jillana), Kaleb Vermillion (Emily) and Jenna Ritter (Eddie); his great grandchildren, Scott, Grayson, Raina, Eli, Julien, Ella and Natieri; and his cousin Marc Atkinson (Dorothy).

The family requests that memorials in Roy's name be made to the Foundation for Hospice of Central Ohio, PO Box 430, Newark, Ohio 43058.
