We are sad to announce that on February 27, 2023, at the age of 83, Roger Lee Lanning of Heath, Ohio, born in Murray City, Ohio passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his father Virgil Lanning; his brother Gale Lanning; and his cousin Charlie. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Lanning (Shields); his children, Carrie Lanning, Roger Lanning Jr., Chris Lanning (Christina) and Mikey Connolly (Shawn); his siblings, Kenny Lanning (Diane), Wilbur Lanning (Dot), Norma, Sharon, Linda, Monet, Helen and Emma Jean (Will); and his grandchildren, Jacob McLaughlin (Scarlett), Michael Lanning, Bill Smitley (Maddy), Shayni Wethey (Dylan), Cheyenne Young (Matt), Breanne Waldren (Cage) and Montana Roberts. He is also survived by many great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like memorial contributions given to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741.
