He was predeceased by: his parents, William Armstrong and Pamela Armstrong (Thompson); his brother William "Billy" Armstrong; his sisters-in-law, Libby Armstrong and Chris Armstrong; and his mother-in-law Lois Oneson.
He is survived by: his siblings, Carolyn Scheifele (Timothy), Timothy Armstrong, Brian Armstrong (Kathleen) and Carl Armstrong (Courtney); his son Matthew Armstrong; his stepchildren, Tia Raab and Nicholas Kirk; his grandchildren, Caleb Raab, Tyler Raab and Sophia Kirk; and his pets, Gabriel and Patch.
