He was predeceased by: his father James Posey Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Lisa Posey; his son Aaron Posey (Jessica); his granddaughter Jenna McManaway; and his siblings, Brenda Posey, Pati Starkey and Dennis Posey (Heather).

In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to Hospice of Central Ohio ℅ the Selma Markowitz Care Center.
