He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Kolb and Frances Kolb (Rinneman); his wife Patricia Kolb; his son James; his daughter-in-law Anita Kolb; and his granddaughter Amanda.

He is survived by: his children, Kathryn Burns (John) and John Kolb (Meg); and his grandchildren, Devin Kolb and Jadyn Kolb.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 25th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home (985 N 21st St, Newark, OH 43055). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 25th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
