Herbert J. Dales Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Herbert J. Dales of Heath, Ohio, born in Buchanan, Virginia, who passed away on March 15, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Cleveland Dales; and his siblings, America Helton, Berchie Helton, Dallas Dales, Anderson Dales and Vadie Dales (Ola Dales).
He is survived by: his wife Betty Dales (Lockhart); his children, Kitty Shaffer (Greg) and Herb Jr. Dales (Pam); his grandsons, Gregory Shaffer (Ashley) and Kyler Dales; his great grandchild Case; his sister Beegie Reece of Abingdon, VA; and his brother-in-law Woody Lockhart (Sandy). He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, there will be envelopes available to contribute to a bench that will be placed in his memory at the Breaks Interstate Park in Virginia, or you can donate to the Alzheimer's Association.
