He was predeceased by: his parents, Forest Penrose and Faye Penrose (Berry); his wife Katherine E. Penrose; his brother-in-law John Markham; and his parents-in-law, Harry and Rachel Markham.
He is survived by: his children, Jeffrey L. Penrose (Maria) and Amy D. Jensen (Robert); his granddaughter Jessica Hiler (Chris); his stepgrandchildren, Jessica Jensen, Bobbi, Brian and Brandon Turner; his great grandchildren, Katy, Brady and Justin Hiler; and his nieces, Jana Snedden (Bill), Jaye Wilder (Rod) and Jennifer Hogue (Mark).
Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Bruce, to Hospice of Central Ohio.
