He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Ernest Detling and Olive Smith Detling; his wife Eileen Detling; his siblings, Betty Phillips, Richard Detling and Larry Detling; his grandson Bradly Detling; his daughter-in-law Patty Detling; his children, Sherri Brumbaugh (Rich) of Mogadore, Ohio, Tom Detling (Bonnie) of Senecaville, Bob Detling (Dana) of Somerton, Jack Detling of North Lewisburg and Mike Detling (Katrina) of Hartville, Ohio; his grandchildren, Misti, Kassie, Nicole, Jeremie, Greg, Jayme, Denelle, Denise, Lauren, Lindsay, Taylor and Peyton; and his close friend Jack Bair.
