He was predeceased by: his parents, Gloria Schmidt Jr. (Krohmer) and Joseph Schmidt Jr.; and his brother Chris Schmidt. He is survived by: his wife Kathleen; his children, Eve Baker (Steve) and Rory Schmidt (Wendy); his grandchildren, Shawn (Kelsey Merritt), Christian, Lily and Penelope; and his sisters, Dawn Sabol (Andy) and Aurora Stewart (Tom).
