He was predeceased by: his parents, Bud Winegardner and Evelyn Winegardner (Losey); his sister Velma Piehl; and his wife Erma Lee Wilcox. He is survived by: his children, Brent Winegardner of Harrod, Brad Winegardner (Melanie) of Harrod, Brian Winegardner (Brenda) of Harrod and Elizabeth Ford (Kevin) of Harrod; his grandchildren, Tyler Winegardner (Natalie), Drew Paulus, Ashlie Werk (Shane), Trent Paulus (Sarah), Morgan Hoy (Levi), Hannah Klingaman (Kurtis), Will Paulus, Madison Kimmet (Erik), Tyler Ford (Danielle) and Dylan Ford (Whitney); and his great grandchildren, Beckett, Ryker, Evelyn, McCoy, Elliott, Nora, Harlyn, Brooks, Lorelei, Nash, Ivy, Sutton and Renley.
