He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Russell Rostorfer, and Alice Rostorfer, Jr. (Brewer); his wife Joyce M. Harpster; his sons, James Rostorfer of Cridersville, Timothy Rostorfer of Columbus and Jesse Rostorfer (Kate) of Cardington; his grandchildren, Chelsie, Caitlin, Braden (Hannah), Austin, Christian (Jessica), Ava and Reese; and his siblings, Russell Rostorfer, III (Shirley) of Kenton, Jerry Rostorfer (Brenda) of Marysville, Glenna Furr of Kenton, June Traxler of Upper Sandusky, Bonnie Rostorfer and Diana Scott. He was also cherished by two great grandchildren.
