He is survived by: his wife Philomena Banks (Harpring); his daughter Barbara Berninger (Roger); his stepson Chris Harpring; his grandchildren, Jason Berninger (Sara Lee), Mark Berninger (Taylor), Brian Berninger (Julie), Bethany Ems (Peter), Nick Harpring and Aydan Harpring; his great grandchildren, Katie, Betsy and Max; and his siblings, John, Jerry, Mary Catherine, Agnes and Joan.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice of Cincinnati.
