He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Sondra J. "Sonnie" Lewis; his sons, Wesley R. "Wes" Lewis (Monica) and Stephen "Steve" Lewis (Tammy); his grandsons, Zachary R. Lewis, Jonah R. Lewis (Nicole) and Andrew "A. J." Lewis; and his great grandchild Mylah Lewis. He was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be directed to the Bright Fire Department.
