With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Rita Viel of Harrison, Ohio, who passed away on December 21, 2020 at the age of 96. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Rita Viel to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Jonas and Frances Jonas; her husband Dale W. Viel; her brothers, Charles and Cornelius "Corny" Jonas; and her siblings-in-law, James Betscher, Betty Jonas and Jean Jonas.
She is survived by: her children, Jeanna Kay Winterhalter, Mary Jo Duvall (Roger), Steven Viel and Jeffrey Viel (Beth); her grandchildren, Meg Hall (Don), Christopher Winterhalter (Brooke), Carolyn Duvall, Zachary Duvall (Kris), Benjamin Duvall (Jessi), Aaron and Emma Viel; her great grandchildren, Hannah, Sebastian, Brick Hall, Claire Duvall, Isla and William Duvall; her siblings, John Jonas, Mary May (Jerome) and Margaret Betscher; and her sister-in-law Peggy Jonas. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Everyone will be required to wear a Mask and follow social distancing guidelines.
Memorials may be made to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church or Christ's Loving Hands. You may bring your donation and give to a funeral home representative.
