He was predeceased by: his daughter Elizabeth Byrd; and his sibling Del Berry (Jim). He is survived by: his close friend Mary Byrd; his children, Tracy Witt, Cliff Byrd (Kellie), Joshua Witt (Cassie), Chris Witt (Laura), Justin Byrd (Karen) and Anna Witt; and his siblings, Albert "Tiny" Witt (Karen), Kathy Middendorf (late Don) and Dale Witt.
